Historiador inglés. Sus libros, especialmente accesibles para el público general, a menudo recalcan la tradición Whig o liberal del pensamiento inglés, al tiempo que reflejan un marcado interés por el componente anglosajón de la constitución británica. Trevelyan escribió tres obras sobre Giuseppe Garibaldi (1907, 1909, 1911), además de England in the Age of Wycliffe [Inglaterra en tiempos de Wycliffe] (1899), Historia británica del s.
